Laila took up photography recently having been inspired by others around her. In this video she describes one of her photographs and why it is important to her.
Laila says that she got a mobile phone about 8 months ago. She had seen people submitting photos to the Rohingya Photography Competition, and so she decided she would also submit photos.
The scene captured in the photograph, entitled "Babies", intrigued Laila because the parents of the child had taken the conscious decision to create a barrier so that the little child could not exit and hurt himself. Too often Rohingya parents neglect this. She also liked the fact that the baby was interacting with the hen and its little chicks.
